Greetings! Welcome to your New Moon & Solar Eclipse in Libra! It is time for the reckoning...this moon is not for the fainthearted.
The new moon will be exact at 1:55 pm, edt. , on Saturday, October 14th. The eclipse will begin an hour or so earlier and reach fulfillment around the time of the new moon. During a solar eclipse the moon passes through the Earth and the Sun, darkening the Sun (so to speak), save for a physically gorgeous and metaphysically powerful "ring of fire". It is a magnificent phenomenon, alerting many befuddled humans centuries ago, and conversely igniting excitement and anticipation to us modern day contemporary folks.
Now that we have that brief summary out of the way, it's time for business. New moons are meant for starting a fresh cycle of life, love, and internal renewal. Solar eclipses are meant for enhancing and empowering these cycles. This particular combination of the Moon, the Sun, the Planets, the signs, all prompt caution, composure, and solemnity. Even so, there remains hope, anticipation, awakening, and fulfillment.
Normally, I advise to immediately make a serious commitment and plan to begin manifesting those hopes, dreams, and wishes that remain anxious to commence. For this particular event, I say to pause and let nature take her course. Let us respect and revere this amazing event for the sake of itself. There is much happening, lots of working out behind the scenes, so to speak.
The longsuffering Pluto in Capricorn, still in somewhat of a stationary position since retrograde, is making a square to one degree of Mars in Scorpio! Whilst the Sun and Moon are in gentle Libra, they are also making a square to Pluto. There may be (actually will be) upsetting of some balance, to say the least. There may be some strong and potent challenges also with that Mars being dangerously close metaphysically to the Moon and Sun.
However. Lest we forget. Calm breathing here with a bit of a sigh. I am a patient and optimistic person! We still have some support from Jupiter, Neptune (both planets of hope, vision, and spirituality) and even Uranus (that lightning bolt of surprise and excitement). How about we hold on to those! Shall we?
Nevertheless, the show must go on. " The show must go on, yeah the show must go on. I'll face it with a grin, I'm never giving in, on with the show."
